Changing the hours of operation of solid waste convenience sites in Caroline County affect over half of those responding to a web poll.

In an online poll taken June 21 through July 12, a total of 53 percent of web voters say that changing the hours of convenience site operations will affect the way they dispose of trash. A total of 30 percent said it will have no affect and 17 percent say they have private pickup.

New hours of operation went into affect July 1. The move was made because of budgetary constraints.

A total of 164 responses were received.

Visitors to the Caroline County government website, www.visitcaroline.com, are invited to participate in web polls regardless of whether they are Caroline County residents or not. Only one vote per visitor is requested.
